Long Valley Nature Centre

Long Valley Nature Centre is located at the other side of the Sheung Yue River, connected by a foot bridge joining the Visitor Zone of the Long Valley Nature Park. The Activity Room provides an indoor area for workshops and exhibition. The Viewing Deck on the 1/F is a perfect place for a stunning view of the Long Valley Nature Park before going into it for first-hand experience. Other visitor facilities include toilets, baby care room, water filling stations and bicycle parking racks.


*Activity Room would be temporarily closed for workshops and other educational activities without prior notice.

Arrangements Under Inclement Weather Conditions

  1. Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or above:

If Hong Kong Observatory is going to issue No. 8 or above Tropical Cyclone Signal, Long Valley Nature Centre will be closed 1 hour before the signal to be issued. It will be reopened 2 hours after the signal is lowered. Long Valley Nature Centre will remain closed for the day if the signal remains hoisted at 2 pm.

  1. Black Rainstorm Warning:
    1. If the warning is issued before the opening hour, Long Valley Nature Centre will be closed. It will be reopened 2 hours after the warning is cancelled. Long Valley Nature Centre will remain closed for the day if the warning remains hoisted at 2 pm.
    2. If the warning is issued during the opening hours, Long Valley Nature Centre will remain open until closing hour or the condition is safe for visitors to leave the Long Valley Nature Centre.
